Sunday May 29th, 10am Whale Watching tour

What a great group of people this morning….Race Rocks reserve, with Steller Sea Lions, California sea lions, Harbour Seals, Pelagic Cormorants, Pigeon Guilamots, etc.  Bald Eagles near Albert Head and an Eagles Nest at Fraser Island—>all of this before we made our way to the whales.  As a company we make it our top priority to offer the best possible guest experience.  This includes going the extra mile or 50 and also being very selective when we arrive on scene with the whales…in today’s case we chose to fashionably late.  There a lot of boats that leave the harbour at the same time who all go straight to the whales.  We like to go see other wildlife and scenery before we make our way on scene because when we get there within the first 15 minutes most of the boats have to leave the area to go back to the dock.  This means a more private and enjoyable experience for our guests and is more proactive for the whales.

We came across the T124′s, three Transient Orca which includes one very large male, one young animal and the mother.  They were cruising the shoreline from Sooke Harbour, BC all the way into Beecher Bay near East Sooke Park.   We stayed around for the next boat to arrive from Victoria as to ensure that we were able to have confirmed sightings for the day….We waited for Prince of Whales to finally get there so we could leave.  Eagle Wing Tours always a team player.

All warm and fuzzy, filled with fresh air and a blush complexion we made our way back into Victoria.
