Winner of free trip from Tourism Victoria Tour

We had a trip planned with Tourism Victoria, Meagan from Tourism Victoria won a free trip on Serengeti at our year end Fisherman’s Wharf party from 2011. We unfortunately had to cancel the first 2 attempts at getting this tour out over the last week and half due to very poor weather. Tonight it worked out beautifully, flat calm just like a lake sunny skies lots of whales. We were not anticipating to go see whales, it was a just a wild life tour but we made it happen by extending the tour and had a beautiful private experience with J-pod up near Swanson Channel by Pender Island near the Bluffs and we had a variety of different forms of activity spy hopping, whales breaching, some vocalization and echolocation on the under water hydrophone. All told an excellent experience, beautiful scenery with the Olympic Mountains and Cascade Mountain Range snow capped peaks. The sun set as we were driving home and had some nice hot chocolate ready for everybody when got back. But it was a real pleasure to meet 12 people from Tourism Victoria that are at the information center, they all had a good time, some with new hairdoos, some smiles. It was a bit refreshing when we came into the harbour under moon light but it was an awesome trip. Very much looking forward to the whales tomorrow.
