The early morning tour took us way East to San Juan Channel, near Friday Harbour. We were the first boat on scene and noticed almost immediately that we had between 8-10 Transient Killer Whales !!!! The animals were later identified as the T18′s & the T2C’s. The large male swimming in this group was T19B, a 17 years old male. We stayed on scene for close to an hour as we followed the whales North up San Juan Channel past Friday Harbour. On the way home we stopped in at Whale Rock to see 20 + Steller Sea Lions, dozens of harbour Seals and one juvenile Bald Eagle on the lower rocks. From there a quick stop at Long Island to see the Eagle’s nest, where we were treated to seeing two adult Bald Eagles mating !!!!! Unreal sight :) Brilliant day on the water this morning as we had flat calm seas with sunny skies !!!!
