The afternoon tour started off in Oak Bay with the usual crew of Seals, Bald Eagles and a variety of shore and diving birds. From Oak Bay we traveled East towards the San Juan Islands where we saw dozens of Steller Sea Lions hauled out at Whale Rock !!! A quick stop at the Eagle’s nest at Long Island and then we were speeding up San Juan Channel past Friday Harbour to the North. Once at Spieden Island we were treated to seeing lots of adult male Mouflon Sheep at Green Point and 5 Bald Eagles soaring high above us. On the way home we stopped in at Henry Island and saw a Peregrine Falcon sitting on the cliffs near the Cormorant Colony. Across the strait, at Kelp Reef, we saw 3 Steller Sea Lions and 2 Eagles on the Marker along with half a dozen Dall’s Porpoise playing in the waves. Another great day at the office
