The trip took us way to the east into the USA San Juan Islands past Salmon Bank, we traveled up San Juan Channel, Upright Channel through Peavine Pass over to the top of Cypress Island where we picked up a portion of J-Pod southbound in Bellingham Channel. We had J-2 (Granny) and J-8 (Spyden) and all the J-14′s grouped together nicely. We followed the whales south towards Bird Rock, flat calm water really nice viewing with J-Pod. We made quick stops at Oak Bay to see a Bald Eagle and harbour seals. An excellent trip on the water.
