Fun ride to see a gray whale

We had had no reports of whales all day, so we were slowly making our way along the western shoreline stopping for all marine mammals we came across. We saw harbour porpoise off of Fisgard Lighthouse, harbour seals at Haystock Rock, an Eagle pair at William Head. Our hopes were to find transient killer whales that were stalking all the above mammals. Then we received a report that there was a grey whale way west, beyond Jordan River. With this exciting discovery, we sped off at full speed for a little over an hour to catch up to see this fella. Once we arrived, we watched as he fed of the bottom and we were graced with seeing his wail everytime he turned on his side to get a mouthful of sand. Very cool to see and everybody took some amazing photos.
