"We could do it again and again" Southhampton
"It was a first for me and my husband and soon became a second two days later. We were so impressed with the tour that we had to go back again and are currently discussing a third time before we go home! Both trips were made enjoyable by the tour guides enthusiasm, they love their jobs and are very knowledgeable. We saw whales on both trips as well as eagles and sea lions and the boats were great fun especially the front seats. Would highly recommend eagle wing tours, we will be returning."
"Outstanding - a life-changing experience for my family!" Washington DC
My wife, daughter, and I had an evening tour with a few others this past mid-August from Brett.
It was UNBELIEVABLE! We saw many killer whales, of course, and were thrilled by them darting close to the boat a couple of times. We also began with getting to within 100m to some Humpback whales that were breaching. So close enough to smell their "exhale," which was an unforgettable experience for us!
I teach an environmental course in Washington, DC. I was so moved by our experience with Brett that I added a full unit on Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd Society. Last week, we debated the USN Sonar Side vs the Whales Side. (The good side won, of course!)
THANK YOU for providing us such an incredible experience last August that we all remain moved by it. And for getting me to revamp my course to fit in this important unit on whales into our environmental work!
"Most Epic Whale Watching Adventure Ever!!" Victoria
The staff at Eagle Wing tours are Absolute GOLD!! On Wed Aug 29, 2007, I had the privilege of joining Brett and his team for a Whale Watching Expedition that I will never, ever forget. Eagle Wing Tours treated us so very well that I believed we had become family. They are extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. You can tell within 30 seconds of meeting the staff that they all love what they do so very very much. We were provided with sunscreen, toques, glasses, binoculars, blankets, whatever we needed to make our adventure comfortable. Brett's main concern was the comfort and safety of all on board and of course the safety of the whales. Brett knew everything about them, you can tell he truly loves what he does and it shows. Not only was it a whale watching expedition, but we also stopped by a great little cove where a gigantic Eagles nest sat in the trees above us, we stopped over at Race Rocks and took some great photos of 100's of Sea Lions, Seals, and Stellar Sea lions. It was truly Epic!! On this day we were lucky enough to see a Super-Pod of over 90 Whales. In fact, 2 Orcas changed direction in the Ocean and swam about 6ft off the back of our boat. BREATHTAKING!! Simply Breathtaking. Even if we didn't see any whales I still would have been impressed. I cannot tell you enough how each of the staff are so extremely fun and pleasant, and entertaining. they are the Kings & Queens of The Whale Watching World. Highly recommended, if you are thinking about whale watching you must go with Eagle Wing. I live in Victoria and I have gone with others. If the whales are out there you will see them, what you are paying for is a service, and that service is not provided any better than what Eagle Wing will provide you with. They are simply the BEST!! Thanks so much for an unforgettable trip. I heart You Guys!!
"Awesome, Life Changing, Sensational" Victoria
What a tour! It was full adrenalin from the start to the finish. If we had not seen any whales or sea life, it would have been just fine. Brett was our Captain and he knows his boat from stem to stern. The trip was full on from the moment we cleared the harbor till we returned some 3 1/2 hours later. Eagle Wing Tours offers two cigarette boats that have enough power to push these water missiles along at a jar shattering 60 miles an hour. Other tour boats are left in its wake. We paid a visit to many of the Inner Islands off the shores of Greater Victoria where we saw hundreds of seals, water fowl and Brett gave us a on deck lesson in aquatic plant life that held you bound to his every word and continued to offer a well rounded education throughout the duration of the trip.Because there were no whales resident within our local waters on that day, Brett powered over to the San Juan Islands in the United States so that he could retain his guarantee of not going home without having seen a whale. Oh yes! We did see whales. Some 70 of them by count. Some lazed around while they were feeding, other breached the water putting on quite a show, while some came within close proximity to leave us with one of those Kodac moments you dream of. In all, I have no difficulty in recommending Eagle Wing Tours to those I know. The experience was "above excellent" and Brett being one of the owners, knows how to deliver value...Daryl Ashby
"Best Victoria Experience" Connecticut
A TOTAL DELIGHT!!! Thanks to our wonderful guide Brett, I enjoyed an unexpectedly wonderful day with whales, seals, sea lions, bald eagles... amazing! Beside being a top notch "captain" and a bit of a comedian, Brett is truly a naturalist, seeming to love sharing his wealth of knowledge of animals, wilderness... all of it. Our hotel (Fairmont Empress) recommended Eagle Wing. I attended the afternoon tour alone, while my husband was meeting with clients, but Brett and the other passengers made me feel right at home. Saw three pods of whales and most of one pod happened to swim RIGHT UNDER OUR BOAT, which I understand us is highly unusual. So close I could have leaned over and touched them. This was my first whale watch and, although it won't be my last, I doubt I'll ever have a watch experience as astounding as this one! You spoiled me, Brett!!! Thanks for an exceptional day!
"Awesome whale watching tour" Stonehaven, Scotland
We checked out Trip Advisor for any reviews as well as looking at all the leaflets etc in the hotel and decided to go with Eagle Wing Tours as they seemed to know what they were doing. On arriving, we were warmly greeted and were really encouraged that we were going to have a good day. All our needs were covered and Essa and Harry (the crew for the day) could not be more relaxed and informative. After a great trip to see seals and sea lions, we got to the whale area and there were a pile of boats and research vessels too. I first of all thought that all the activity would scare them off but Harry knew exactly where to put our boat to get the best view. He was also warmly welcomed by the research teams which was an excellent sign. What a fantastic time we had with two pods of the resident orcas - about 70 whales! They were all around the boat and we spent ages tracking them but it passed so quickly. It was awesome and the absolute highlight of a fantastic trip to BC. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone
visiting Victoria. The teams infectious enthusiasm for what they do made it really special. Can't wait to get home and view all the photos and film!!
"Whale watching at it's best" Tennessee
On those wonderful occasions when a travel experience over-delivers, you have to share that with others. My wife and I joined nine others in a one-hundred nautical mile journey that was simply superb. The staff at Eagle Wing Tours was very thoughtful, the equipment first rate, and the knowledge shared on the voyage by Brett, was nothing short of fantastic. We were schooled on the history of the area, the sea creatures, birds, trees, current events, and of course whales. Every effort was made to ensure that our experience was most enjoyable. With Eagle Wing's available equipment, we were able to reach farther than others did that same day, and as a result saw what others did not. We were made quite comfortable during the voyage, and the hot chocolate at the end was a welcome touch. You may see other tours operating in the area, but the personal commitment that is delivered on by the family at Eagle Wing Tours, elevates the entire experience. We were exposed to a voyage that was humorous, entertaining, and focused on providing those lucky enough to share the trip with a rewarding day on the water. And yes, we saw whales. As did the couple on the boat with us, that were there for their second trip in two weeks. Both returned excellent viewing. I would highly recommend the Eagle Wing Tours experience to those seeking to connect with the aquatic experience of Victoria!
"We experienced a child like wonder"
My wife and I went to Victoria for a four day getaway. For years I have been trying to get to go on a whale watching tour but she was afraid of being in a small boat around large marine mammals with the word killer in their name. Last Monday I finally convinced her to go out. I picked your company amongst many only because you have the coolest looking boats. The trip was nothing short of spectacular. We saw everything from a new calf and mom, a porpoising adolescent to a friendly and curious adult male named Saanich (L74). I hope I spelled his name correctly. Saanich was the star of the day. He gave all of us a rare close encounter. He came by us twice within 2 meters. So close that my lens on my camera couldn't completely focus on him. In addition to the Orcas we saw three humpbacks together and the large colony of, harbor seals, fur seals and sea lions at Race Rocks. Your boats are fast enough to allow you to get to the whale and stay with them awhile rather than using the time to travel. Brett, your knowledge, excitement and passion is contagious. The only thing we talk about in our four day getaway to Victoria is our trip with you to the Orcas. The evening after our whale tour my wife said while being so close (7 feet) from a wild Orca the only emotion she didn't have was fear. We experienced a child like wonder, excitement and the hope for another close encounter. It was the best whale watching tour I have ever been on. Thank you. We will come up and do this again with you.

“Our friends Gary & Debi, my wife and I completed an excellent vacation in Victoria today. We enjoyed whale excursions, Butchart Gardens, Royal B.C. Museum, and many more activities. The difference that distinguished this vacation from other vacations in North America and Europe was the sincerity and enthusiasm of the local service professionals. Time and again we were impressed with the extra initiative, special attention, and genuine interest that service providers genuinely expressed to make the Victoria experience pleasant. We always felt like welcome guests. One individual deserves particular recognition. The Captain of Eagle Wing Tours, demonstrated an enthusiasm during our excursion that combined the knowledge of an experienced guide with the excitement of a first time whale observer. He located and explained the behavior of whales, sea lions, seals, eagles, and other creatures as fast as we could observe them. Eagle Wing Tours and their Scarab style boat are an under-promoted adventure in Victoria”

"Educational as well"
"I was so impressed with my tour last evening I thought I should drop you a line. I was really only hoping for maybe one or two decent photos of the whales in some nice evening light; what I was not expecting was a boat ride to remember - what a blast – certainly made the hangover disappear! Brett was a great deal more knowledgeable
about the local environment and our wildlife than I would have ever anticipated - nice touch! It's great to see that the whale watching industry in our city is not only a thriving business, but is educational as well. Photography from the water certainly poses it’s challenges as the orca’s are rather unpredictable, but I did manage to get a few, slightly out of focus breaching shots - bonus - as I was not expecting any shots of whales breaching! The shot I had in my mind was something in calm water, with the evening light and a fin or two – and thanks to you guys, the orca’s and of course mother nature – I have a few. Also - loved hearing the whales talking - this is something I have never heard in the wild before - awesome! Thanks again - hopefully I will have a chance to go again - though I would not expect to be as lucky as we were last evening!"

"Hi Brett"
"I'm Vance Smith's mom - an identity I'm very proud of! Our visitors from Holland were just so thrilled after their trip with you. The two boys really appreciated the time you spent to answer their questions and the effort to see Orcas. They are safely back in Holland and I'm sure still talking about their experience. It was a long day on
the ocean and they were a while getting their land legs but said it was well worth the trip. Wishing you every success with your Eagle Wing venture. We'll recommend your tour to our friends."

"It was absolutely amazing!"
"I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Brett for such an amazing time on Wednesday. We were on his 1030 tour that day (Ken and Jeannie from Ontario) – and appreciated all of the time and patience that Brett put into our tour. It was absolutely amazing!!! We will definitely be back and will most certainly make sure that anyone we know coming from Ottawa to Victoria is sure to visit you! Again, thanks so much for an amazing time!"
